Description

Our House Shelter offers short-term housing and supportive services for families and individuals. Services include room and board, case management, individual counseling, support groups, parenting classes, savings program, assistance with job and housing search, and tutoring and homework help for the children. Clients stay at the shelter for 30 to 90 days. The first 30 days are a probationary period.

Eligibility

-No single men are permitted, however men with children are accepted.
-Children must be 15 or under.
-Maximum family size is 4 people.
-Residents must be employable.
-Cannot be a former resident of this shelter.
-Those with substance abuse issues, severe mental illness, or a history of violent or criminal behavior generally cannot be accommodated, but may be considered on a case by case basis.
-Must abide by all shelter rules.

How to Apply

Call 909-622-3806, x4 to complete a phone screening. Shelter will accept referrals from others, besides client, however client must be available for telephone screening. If you are eligible, you will be added to the wait list, which varies in length.

Proof of identification, immunization records , and a TB test are required for admission to the shelter.
